From 2015 to 2019, I studied in the Department of Chemistry, Northeast Forestry University. During my sophomore year, I participated in a scientific research training program related to forest protection in the College of Forestry. At that time, as a sophomore who had just entered the second year of college, I was faced with the task of classifying and extracting a roomful of messy soil and leaves. Among all the participants, I was the only one who was not quit from the tedious experimental operations. Instead, I was curious about why the soil and leaves that looked almost the same to the naked eye were so different at the microscopic level, and how they reflect the climate change of the forests on that we depend for survival. This curiosity further stimulated my interest in scientific research. Subsequently, I went to the Mao'er mountain Ecological Forest with the research team for on-site sampling and conducted laboratory analysis and research. This experience opened a window for me into scientific research. After completing this research training program, I decided to continue with scientific research training in my spare time. Therefore, I returned to the Department of Chemistry and, upon the suggestion of my supervisor Professor Fuqin Han, joined the laboratory of Professor Xiaoliang Wu for research practice, mainly engaging in the study of porous carbon materials for supercapacitors. In my junior year, I served as the project leader and the first completer to apply for and complete a national-level Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program for College Students. During this period, I published two SCI papers as the first author (J. Electroanal. Chem., 2018, 823, 54; J. Alloy Comp., 2019, 785, 110). This experience provided me with valuable insights and solid experience skills for my postgraduate studies.
I’m currently a Ph.D. candidate in Materials Engineering at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), where I am a member of ADVANCED ENERGY MATERIALS AND INTELLIGENT BATTERIES INNOVATION TEAM. I have previously completed my Master's degree at this lab. My research now focusing on anion chemistry in electrolytes of electrochemical energy storage devices and materials used in electrodes in batteries. Meanwhile, We design a high-intercalation-distance graphite for anion storage based simple structure-performance relationship. Previously, my research was focused on solid state electrolyte (SSE) (AM, 2023, 35, 2212096) and artificial solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) (AM, 2024, 36, 2303710) in Li metal batteries during my Master. We designed and fabricated the artificial SEI onto Li anode/SSE by Physical Vapor Deposition (Magnetron Sputtering). More broadly, my learning interests beyond the energy storage devices encompass cross-link technologies as tools for batteries (AI, advanced physical characterization techniques). Hope I can get more chances to learn more knowledge to help the energy balance between nature and human activities in the future.
